SwissMAP and G-Research invite nominations and applications for the first SwissMAP Junior Researcher Prize.

Up to three prizes will be awarded once a year to PhD students or Postdoctoral researchers for important scientific achievements in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, supported by G-Research.

Eligibility

The call is open to all PhD and postdoctoral researchers in mathematics and theoretical physics enrolled in a Swiss institution at the time of application.

Postdoctoral researchers should submit their applications maximum five years after completing their PhD.

Nominations & applications for the prize

We welcome self-nominations as well as nominations by PhD advisors and postdoctoral mentors.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of mathematical and theoretical physicists. Deadline for nominations & applications : September 30, 2024.

Nominations should be sent by email at juniorprize@swissmaprs.ch and consist of:

• • • • A curriculum vitae in Swiss National Science Foundation format created via the SNSF portal: https://portal.snf.ch/core/landing-page.
      • A letter of recommendation from your PhD advisor or current mentor.

Prize

Prize(s) will be awarded during the traditional SwissMAP Winter School in January 2025 at the SwissMAP Research Station in Les Diablerets.
