Description

This workshop focuses on regularity properties of solutions to evolution equations that naturally arise in physically meaningful models, such as in fluid dynamics and kinetic theory. We want to highlight structure and symmetries of the equations with a focus on low regularity regimes. The aim is to connect researchers working on regularity theory for evolution equations with different interests to create an intersection of areas touching on calculus of variations, hypoelliptic equations and convex integration. The emphasis lies on ideas and methods that might be folklore for certain communities, but that could appear in a new perspective if viewed from a dfferent angle. We hope to bridge gaps between research areas that are sufficiently close, but distinct at the same time, to create the potential of collaborations leading to new paths in the mathematical analysis of physical models. To this end, the workshop will feature talks by international experts in the various areas, as well as discussion and analysis of open problems.
