Description
This is an international camp aimed at preparing students for the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO). Each country will bring their EGMO team and a leader, and the leader from each country will teach one preparation session (morning or afternoon) in an area within algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. There will also be a special session with distinguished SwissMAP professors. Despite the fact that students train for a competition, a collaborative environment will be established, in which students from different countries learn from each other and meet potential future collaborators.
This will be the second international EGMO camp organized at the Swiss Research Station, following the successful first edition in 2025. We aim to establish this as a biennial event, strengthening European collaboration in high school mathematics and providing young women with opportunities to build lasting connections across borders.
The camp is organized jointly by the ETH Math Youth Academy, the Junior Euler Society, and the Swiss Math Olympiad.
