Description
The workshop will discuss latest developments of the interactions between (geometric) group theory and theory of operator algebras. This is a lively topic which has long been known to be of importance for the study of dynamical systems and ergodic theory, but in recent years has also exhibited unexpected connections for example to quantum information theory.
