Description

Quantum Hall effect, discovered in the 1980s, continues to this day to attract enormous interest among both physicists and mathematicians. With its nontrivial connections to modern theoretical physics, analysis, geometry, probability and hydrodynamics, the subject can be counted on to provide novel insights, problems, ideas and collaboration prospects for respective communities.
The topics to be discussed at this workshop include: quantum Hall states in geometric backgrounds, adiabatic transport on moduli spaces, asymptotic expansions in Coulomb gases, hydrodynamic description of the fractional QHE, quantization of systems with Poisson structure, understanding topological states of matter, higher dimensional generalizations and more.
